Do you take insurance?

We do not accept insurance at this time. We highly recommend that you check with your insurance company to see if your plan allows for reimbursement of out -of-network claims. While you will be the one responsible for filing a claim, we will do our best to provide for you, upon request, the documentation required by your provider.

What is an Intake Session? Can I book one now?

Your intake session is a time for the therapist to get to know you.  It is a time for you to share your concerns, history, and goals for therapy. It is a time to evaluate if it is a good fit. Your clinician will use the information gathered at this 60 minute initial appointment to create a plan of therapy that is unique to your situation.

What is my role as a parent/guardian in my child's counseling process?

You are the link between your child, their therapist, and all the external factors impacting their mental health. You are someone who can provide utilized information on academia, recreation, sleep and dietary habits, friendships, and familial relationships. You provide insight into the effectiveness of services as it displays outside of session, along with the encouragement to use coping skills outside of session. Should you be interested in connecting your therapist to your child’s school as an additional resource in IEP meetings or 504 meetings that can be arranged. Family counseling can also be scheduled.

Can I schedule a brief consultation call with the therapist? And if so, is it free?

Yes! Consultation calls are available at no charge for people who want to speak with the therapist before scheduling an appointment. These calls are about 10 minutes in length and are used to go over any initial questions that you may have about getting started. If you are interested in talking with someone by phone to see if it feels like a good fit, this option might be for you.
